Education: Civil Engineering Study at West Virginia University
Guy has been working with his father at G.A. Covey Engineering, PLLC since May 2009. Prior to that, he served his country in Kosovo and Afghanistan as an Infantry Team Leader in the U.S. Army.
He has worked closely with his father over the years, learning the operations of the company and has been hands on in developing the company’s excellent customer service to gas / oil site development inspection, quality control, and geotechnical needs.
Guy manages most of the ongoing design, geotechnical, and quality control projects. He stays up-to-date on the compliance issues involved in the development of these sites and is directly involved in the supervision of all the inspectors on site.

Jim has been with Covey Engineering since November 2012. Jim brings and extensive amount of knowledge to Covey Engineering with equipment maintenance experience, 15 years of operating large trucks and equipment, over 20 years of building construction experience as well as hauling and delivery of equipment.
Since being with our company, Jim has become the manager of the core drilling operations. Please contact him should you have any need for these services.
Education: Associate Degree Computer Science – IADT
Nathan has been with Covey Engineering since 2008. He is responsible for the company’s computer and software systems. He is the senior compaction technician with WVDOH certification in compaction testing, aggregate testing, and aggregate sampling. He also holds an ACI certification for concrete testing.
Nathan maintains the company’s materials lab and maintains compliance for our nuclear gauges. His certifications and experience make him a key member of the company for quality control and testing for various projects.
Education: B.S. Civil Engineering – Summa Cum Laude WV University, 2015
“Ted” has been with Covey Engineering since May 2009. He is a Certified Engineering Intern and plans to become a professional engineer and surveyor in the next 4 years. He has extensive surveying, design, and soil testing experience. He is trained in the most recent versions of Microsoft Office, Auto CAD and Carlson software.
Ted’s education and experience make him a key employee of Covey Engineering.
Julie has been with Covey Engineering since January 2011. She has been working in an office environment for over 25 years. She has experience in corporate management, administrative assisting, human resources, records and financial bookkeeping, inventory control, quality control, as well as customer service.
She handles the offices’ day-to-day operations as well as invoicing, accounts payable, employee payroll, office human resources and customer service. Please feel free to contact her with any questions you may have.
Education: B.S. Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science – Glenville State College, 2011
Krystle has been with Covey Engineering since February 2012. She assists in invoicing and accounts receivable as well as providing excellent customer service. She is directly involved with water sampling, permitting and drafting, drilling, and boring logs for our projects.
She has training in environmental studies, aggregate lab testing, and concrete field testing. She is trained using the latest technology in her field and is proving to be a vital asset to the company.
She is trained in the most recent versions of Microsoft Office. She works closely with the other senior employees to deliver on-time performance for company projects.
